Avantgarde Media is an independent media organization focused on policy, politics, & international conflict. Positioned within a collective of established independent media organizations, we aim to spearhead the rise of collectively organized independent media & set the stage for the restructuring of the legacy media industry.

Our global team—comprising field & access reporters, analyists, & copyeditors—operates remotely across all time zones. Our field teams report directly from the frontlines of ongoing conflicts (including Ukraine, Myanmar, Latin America, & the Middle East); our operational & coordination hubs are based in several locations across the United States, Europe, & Southeast Asia.

We investigate & report directly from within the reality of policy. Our scope covers the full pipeline: from policy community deliberations to ground execution & collateral impact. We deliver insights & analysis that audiences & clients do not find in mainstream media, concurrently offering challenging perspectives that break existing narratives & capture the spirit of our time.
